Mr. Swanson's Page

This course is designed to have students meet and exceed the standards set for Algebra 1.  In this course students will build upon the skills that they have previously learned to gain more understanding of mathematics and algebra by solving problems; working with numbers, expressions, and operations; learning the characteristics and behaviors of functions; using linear functions, equations, and inequalities; using quadratic functions and equations; using exponential functions and equations; and exploring data and distributions.  In addition to this content, students will learn how to reason and think logically, solve problems based in the real world, and communicate their ideas to others.
